Currently, I am pulling my hair out over 3 things:
1. My Datil Pepper plants took an unbelievable turn for the worst while I was in Chicago this past week. I'll post about that later.
2. I have to go back to school Friday. Not dreading it, but summer flew by.
3. I was just finishing up this huge post explaining seabreeze collision and how it affects thunderstorm activity when my internet explorer shut down. I'll have to write about it again and post in a few minutes...
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Whew! Summer did fly by.
I'm guessing your datils dried out in this hot,dry weather. Mine are in pots and I have to water them each day.
What's on your course schedule this semester?
Well I didn't want them to fry in the sun (I have mine in 5-gallon buckets and I also have to water them every day) so I put them all in my garage...I had success with this in June when I went to South Carolina, but I was worried that 8 days without sun or water would be too much for them...but I didn't expect it to be THIS bad...To sum it up creatively:
Large Plant: Serious but stable condition. 75% of all leaves dropped; all old-growth leaves dropped. All blooms dropped (no surprise). Has recovered from drooping, but has still suffered severely from drop of foliage. Highly confident that this one will survive.
Red Bin Seedling: Critical condition; on life support, but does not appear to be recovering. Over 50% of leaves dropped. Brown spots noted on all remaining leaves. This one may be with our Father in a few days.
White Bucket Seedling: Serious condition. 20-25% of leaves dropped. Recovering very slowly from serious drooping. Outlook uncertain.
Black Pot Seedling: Fair condition. Dropped only 1 leaf. Recovering from drooping very nicely. I can tell this is going to be a heck of a Datil Pepper plant.
As for my course schedule:
American History
Chemistry
Pre-Calculus
Creative Writing II
English III Honors
Law Studies (ugh)
I still need one more class in there and I forgot what I requested (oops) and I don't get my schedule until Thursday because I was in Chicago when my orientation was scheduled and it's always subject to change at the mercy of the school and it's always been that way...And that was a lot of conjunctions.
Well that was a long reply, Mr. FC. I'm going to post some pictures of my afflicted plants tomorrow. Enjoy your evening.
