Into the real world

"Somewhere beyond the sink-hole, past the magnolia, under the live oaks, a boy and a yearling ran side by side, and were gone forever."

Good to see your priorities are straight! Study hard, and I love the quote...she's one of my favorite authors.

(Just remember you gotta go out and have fun, too!)

I hope you went off that manicured trail at some point.

swamp - The Yearling is my favorite book. I just started Cross Creek for the first time last night, though, and it looks promising...Very philosophical.

paint - Few things more beautiful in my mind.

FC - That's at Olustee, so we definitely ventured off those trails when we were going into battle. Osceola National Forest is one of my favorite places on earth.

Sorry to read...over at FC's place...that you are homesick. Sure can understand though.
I liked the Yearling, but Cross Creek was my favorite by Rawlings...what a feel for what to me is a whole different world and era.

I know your momma has cooked all your favorite foods and that you are loving being back in your own room and own bed. Nothing like going home. Take a deep breath, recharge your batteries, then plunge back into school. It will get better. Belive me, I know for sure, it will.
