TD-1A Soon To Form in the Caribbean?

FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC...CARIBBEAN SEA AND THE GULF OF MEXICO...WIDESPREAD CLOUDINESS AND SHOWERS OVER THE NORTHWESTERN CARIBBEANSEA AND ADJACENT LAND AREAS ARE ASSOCIATED WITH AN AREA OF LOWPRESSURE CENTERED A COUPLE HUNDRED MILES EAST OF THE YUCATANPENINSULA. THIS SYSTEM IS SHOWING SIGNS OF ORGANIZATION THISMORNING. DESPITE THE CLOSE PROXIMITY TO LAND...AND UPPER-LEVELWINDS THAT ARE ONLY SOMEWHAT CONDUCIVE FOR ADDITIONALDEVELOPMENT...A TROPICAL DEPRESSION COULD STILL FORM DURING THENEXT OR TWO AS THE SYSTEM MOVES SLOWLY NORTHWARD. AN AIR FORCERECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT IS SCHEDULED TO INVESTIGATE THIS SYSTEMTOMORROW AFTERNOON...IF NECESSARY. EVEN IF A TROPICAL DEPRESSIONDOES NOT FORM...HEAVY RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE DURING THE NEXT COUPLEOF DAYS OVER PORTIONS OF HONDURAS...BELIZE...THE YUCATANPENINSULA...THE CAYMAN ISLANDS...AND WESTERN CUBA. ELSEWHERE...TROPICAL STORM FORMATION IS NOT EXPECTED THROUGHSATURDAY.FORECASTER MAINELLI/KNABB
