I know what you mean. I had to take myself out to the woods on Saturday despite the ice. (Ice is a kind of solid water not generally found in Florida.)
pablo - It's been in the 20s here since about 8:00 tonight. I have the sprinklers set up on the citrus trees...I'll probably have some icicles tomorrow! I'll post about this later.
I look forward to reading about your swamp visit. Hope your citrus trees come though the cold all right. We are having the kind of winter that kills a lot of even fairly hardy plants because it is real cold with very little snow to insulate them.
threecollie - Everything turned out alright, thanks. I just took another swamp visit today, and I have a few pictures from it. But I am going to get a lot more from my friend Jimmy later on.
I'm a devout Catholic who is learning to feel God's presence in everything I do throughout my daily life.
A PhD student in Atmospheric Science at The University at Albany-SUNY, I am a weather/science/math geek, and I'm especially geeky about hurricanes.
Also, I'm a 9th generation native Floridian of Minorcan descent. I love nature, animals, and anything about Florida history or culture.
That's me in a nutshell.
