My First Puzzler

I went out about a week ago on a cool night and took a look at my Datil plants before I went off to bed. I took some photos with my awesome (chuckle) digital camera, and uploaded them onto my computer. To my surprise, I saw some things I had not noticed when I was actually outside. I admit that this is not the harded puzzler to ever be posted on blogger, but what the heck, I thought I would just throw it out there...You may also notice that little yellow-green orb near the top of the picture. That's my first good datil pepper off of this plant :-D. But that's another story!

So, how many lizards can you spot?

I think I see three, maybe four? Am I even close?

Three for sure,
Or maybe four?
Could it be?
No, surely three.
Is that a tail?
It's awfully pale.
No, I decree
There must be three.

Uncertainty
Is plaguing me.
Now I'm not sure.
Can there be four
Amongst the green?
Your puzzle's keen!
I yield the prize
To sharper eyes.

hmmm...I must get a definite answer before I give away the prize :-D. Nice poetry, by the way, Sophie.

Fine fine, I'm gonna go with four.

4 is the magic number, Paint :-D
That "pale tail" that Sophie mentioned was indeed the tail of a lizard. You may also notice that the lizard in the top left of the photo is missing his tail. Thanks for playing, and thanks for reading!

That was fun. Now we need another contest. I know. Who can get dirtiest in the shortest amount of time. I guarantee I can win that one easily.

paint - I don't know, I might give you a run for your money! It's pretty easy to dirty yourself down here in the swamp if you are not careful while you walk. I've had a couple close calls. But I've also heard your mud up there is quite slippery and pastey...ew.

Trust me, I could have beaten you yesterday. I went from fresh-from-the-shower clean, to looking like I hadn't seen water and soap in several years. It was very nasty. Took me about five washes to get my clothes looking semi-clean again. You can read why on my blog. At least it was all for a good reason.
And the mud here can be slippery and pasty. It all depends on what type of soil you have. Our farm has a lot of clay ground, which can be really gross when it rains.
